ARMHS, or Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services, provided by AHW, are tailored to assist individuals with mental illness in improving their psychiatric stability, social skills, personal adjustment, and independent living abilities. Our services aim to support individuals in managing symptoms, enhancing functioning, and achieving recovery goals.
Eligibility for ARMHS services at AHW typically requires being 18 years or older, having a primary diagnosis of a mental illness, undergoing a Diagnostic Assessment, and demonstrating significant impairment in functioning as assessed by a Functional Assessment.
ARMHS services at AHW are provided by certified professionals, including mental health professionals, certified rehabilitation specialists, mental health practitioners, clinical trainees, mental health rehabilitation workers, and certified peer specialists.
ARMHS services at AHW encompass a range of services including basic living and social skills training, certified peer specialist services, community intervention, functional assessment, individual treatment planning, medication education, and transition to community living services.
ARMHS services from AHW can be provided in various settings including the individual's home, the home of a relative or significant other, job sites, and community settings such as psychosocial clubhouses, drop-in centers, or classrooms.
Authorization may be required for certain ARMHS services at AHW that exceed specified limits as outlined in the ARMHS Benefits chart provided by the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS). Please inquire with our team for any authorization requirements.
Some ARMHS services, such as Transition to Community Living (TCL), cannot be provided concurrently with other ARMHS services at AHW. Our team will work with you to ensure appropriate service coordination.
A Functional Assessment evaluates how your mental health symptoms impact daily functioning, while an Individual Treatment Plan outlines specific goals, objectives, and interventions tailored to your needs and recovery goals at AHW.
